Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Take cars to the stall area after receiving repair orders from the dispatcher.
- Work efficiently and accurately in accordance with the repair order, conforming to all dealership and factory standards.
- Correctly diagnose malfunctions and perform the repairs when authorized to do so.
- Obtain necessary parts from the Parts Department.
- When requested by the customer, or if the job is under warranty, tag and save parts and set them aside for turning in.
- Let the service advisor know if any changes to the schedule, such as when the work needs more time to be performed, when work outlined is not needed, or if additional work is needed.
- Maintain adequate documentation of work performed.
- Make use of road tests to make sure customer complaints are fully addressed.
- Perform quality checks on your work.
- Come to all required training classes.
- Stay up-to-date with all factory technical bulletins.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the customer’s vehicle while working on it.
- Administer all housekeeping and safety procedures and policies.
- Know, understand, and follow all local, state, and federal regulations regarding service and repair work.
